Two special sessions have been included in the programme of ALL DIGITAL Summit 2017 aiming at increasing the impact of the UMI-Sci-Ed project by transferring its results in the non-formal science education sector.
The Workshop “How to use UMI (Ubiquitous, Mobile, IoT) technology to promote STEM education” aims to introduce the participants to UMI (Ubiquitous, Mobile, Internet of Things) technologies and their potential use in STEM education. The workshop addresses the needs of managers of training organizations, teachers and trainers, as well as educational policy makers. A holistic view of UMI technologies will be presented and their potential use in non-formal education and training will be demonstrated with hands-on activities involving the UMI-Sci-Ed online collaboration platform and the powerful UDOO Neo kit.
The Interactive Session “Ubiquitous, Mobile and IoT technologies in support of STEM Education: a new business opportunity†will investigate the impact of UMI technologies on organizations offering STEM education and the business potential they offer, both to ALL DIGITAL network and its members. Ideally, we’d like to start a dialogue among the participating organizations and ALL-DIGITAL leading to a roadmap / strategy for incorporating (non-formal) science education activities into their practice.
Both sessions will be supported by UMI-Sci-Ed project members.
